The application period for Gaztemundu is now officially open, as of June 3rd, after being published in the Official Bulletin of the Basque Country on June 2. Deadline to submit applications will be July 3. The theme of this year's program is Basque club management with a focus on member involvement on Basque club decision-making bodies. Interested persons should be between the ages of 18 and 35, be a member of an officially recognized Basque club for at least three years, reside outside of Euskadi, will have never participated in this program prior, and will have completed a project on the future challenges faced by his/her Basque club including a SWOT matrix (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) along with its analysis, which would include suggestions for improvement. Applications may be submitted to the Lehendakaritza, to the Secretary General of Foreign Action (c/Navarra, #2, 01007 Vitoria-Gasteiz) along with other required documentation by July 3, 2015. Gaztemundu is a Basque Government program for the youth of Basque clubs from around the world since 1996. This offers an opportunity to travel to the Basque country and partake in a two week program. The flights, room & board are paid--it's a sweet deal.
