Gernika the Story
The Basque Doc YouTube channel has shared the link to the documentary Gernika the Story in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Bombing of Gernika on April 26, 2017. The documentary is available in Basque, English and Spanish and provides an account of the events at a local, national and international level. The film combines the research of historians, military experts, and also includes input from journalists and testimonies of survivors. It also includes original footage shot in 1937, combined with dramatized reconstruction and virtual imaging of some of the key events. This anniversary will not only be commemorated in Gernika, but also at Basque clubs and in Basque communities around the world. This may be a welcomed edition to your club's event.
