GAZTEMUNDU


Gaztemundu is a Basque Government program for the youth of Basque clubs from around the world since 1996.  This offers an opportunity to travel to the Basque country and partake in a two week program aimed this year at developing collaborators for the new website of global Basques www.euskaletxeak.net  The flights, room & board are paid--it's a sweet deal.

__Copy of your passport
__Proof from your Basque club of membership for at least three years that also speaks of the applicant's participation (e.g., letter from club officer)
__Essay on the image of the Basque Country around the world (see below)
__Proof of Basque level (if applicable)
 

Gaztemundu 2010 [Google Translation]

First. Aim.  The present regulations are intended to convene the Gaztemundu program consisting of a stay in Euskadi between 1 and 15 July 2010, for young people who meet the requirements in the following article.
The maximum number of placements offered in this edition is 30.

Second. Requirements for applicants.

1.  Have at 1 January 2010, between 18 and 30 years of age.
2.  To have your residence outside the territory of the Autonomous Community of Euskadi.
3. Being a member or member, with a length of at least three years at the time of publication of the call, in one of the Basque Centers-Euskal Etxeak officially recognized and registered in the Register of Basque Centers.
4. To have completed a study on the external image of Euskadi.
5. There have been a beneficiary or a beneficiary of a stay in the program Gaztemundu.

Fourth.  Criteria for evaluating applications.

1 .- Among the applications submitted, the Commission

a) Assessment of analytical work or study.
Up to 40 points

b) Extent of participation of the applicant in the social life of the Basque Center-Euskal Etxea to which it belongs.
Up to 35 points

c) knowledge of Euskera.
Up to 15 points

d) Having visited the Basque Country.
Up to 10 points


Criterion A - 'rating of the analysis work or study. " Will be valued in the work of drafting the external image of Euskadi these four aspects, each of them to 10 points: the quality of writing, the sources used, the current perspective of country and personal contribution.

Criterion B - "Level of participation of the applicant in the social life of the Basque Center-Euskal Etxea to which it belongs. It values the organization, development and / or participation in various activities of middle and competition for management agencies. Up to 35 points.

Criterion C - 'knowledge of Euskera. To be given 5 points to the knowledge of basic grade, 10 intermediate knowledge and 15 to knowledge of high grade.

2 .- To be placed in the selection procedure applications must obtain at least 50 points.

Fifth .- Submission of applications.
1 .- Applications shall be sent to the Prime Minister-President's Office, General Secretariat for External Action, c / Navarra, Issue 2, 01007 Vitoria-Gasteiz.

2 .- Along with the application must be submitted the following documents:
a) Copy of passport or identity card of gift-proof of age and place of residence.
b) A certificate attesting Basque Center of membership or a member with seniority, at least three years at the time of publication of the call, in one of the Basque Centers-Euskal Etxeak officially recognized and registered in the register of Basque centers. You should also certifying that the Center is responsible for re-integrate the expenses generated by the adjudicataria person in breach of the obligations, and enclose a report on the extent of participation of the person applicant's social life.
c) Study on the external image of Euskadi, with a maximum of 10 pages.
d) Proof of knowledge of Euskera.

3 .- The application shall be signed by the applicant.
